How do these nigerian / UK scammers know my business?
How come everytime I email someone and mention something about a car, motorcycle or home that I start getting nigerian / UK scammers emailing me about car/home loan offers? Are they hacking into my email or could there be spyware on my machine that anti-malware programs arent finding? This is really ticking me off. Also, I recently changed my home address and right after changing my address with the USPS I started getting scam offers through the mail. How are these people getting my information? I thought it was illegal for the USPS to sell my information!

I like AntiVir for my antivirus & Spybot for my spyware – both should clean you up nicely
Is it possible to get a student loan from the UK if I’m from the US?
I’m going to school in London in February and my friend was telling me about student loans in the UK, he said that you don’t have to pay interest and that you don’t have to pay it back til you’re making 15,000 pounds a yr. Is it possible for a US citizen to receive a student loan from the UK? If so, where can I apply?
You won’t be entitled to a student loan in the UK if you are a US citizen. You have to be a UK or European citizen and be resident in the UK before entitlement is even decided upon.

Scotland or China?
I’m an 18 year old Canadian female taking time off before Uni to work and then travel on my own. I’ve saved up about $2000 so far and I’m anxious to leave. That’s not a lot of money but if needed I could take out a loan from the bank. I’d like to be abroad for around a year and I know I’ll need to work in some manner while away.
I’ve always wanted to go to Scotland- the highlands really. The trouble is how expensive the UK is. If I do go there I will be stuck working full time in a major city- cities not being what had appealed to me in the first place.
My other option is to go to China. It’s not at the top of my ‘countries-to-visit’ list, but I want to go nearly everywhere. The cost of living can be very cheap and I could easily find work teaching english when needed. I’m not sure I’d want to be there a year though.
I want to grow and become more independant during my time away. Which country do you think would be best for me; Scotland or China?
Thanks ![]()
I love the Scottish highlands, too. But I wouldn’ts stay there for the full year. In fact, when winter comes and I leave, my friends there want to leave with me! Go half a year Scotland (avoiding the winter) and the other half year in China !
